To start it, run Cheat Engine and from the Help menu, select 'Cheat Engine Tutorial'. Doing this, connect the Cheat Engine to the process as if it were a normal application or game. The process should be called Tutorial-xxx.exe, where xxx indicates the version of the software used. So let's go through the Cheat Engine Tutorial (x64). So open Cheat Engine, then in the main menu select help then select Cheat Engine Tutorial. Then attach to the Cheat Engine Tutorial process, it should be 'Tutorial-x8664.exe'. Even though this tool does not yet quite measure up to other memory editors for the platform, it is none the less a quite functional and practical tool to change memory values in games with the potential for the use of trainer files / cheat tables, that are able to circumvent a lot of the manual value editing and scanning.
